The 430-JTAG Adapter kit adapts the 14 pin cable output of the
MSP-FET430P120, MSP-FET430P140, MSP-FET430P410 and MSP-FET430P440 Flash Emulation Tools (FET) and the 14 pin cable output of the
MSP-PRGS430 Serial Programmer to a
9 pin Single Inline Pin (SIP) connector which makes it suitable for solderless breadboarding and wire-wrap prototyping.
The adapter -- in conjuction with a Texas Instruments' MSP430 FET or Serial Programmer -- can be used to program all the microcontroller Flash devices in the Texas Instruments' MSP430 family.
The kit contains: - one 430-JTAG Adapter board
- one 9 pin Single Inline Pin (SIP) connector {0.025" [0.635mm] square pins and 0.100" [2.54mm] pin spacing}
- one 14 pin Low Profile Box Header {2 x 7 configuration with 0.025" [0.635mm] square pins and 0.100" [2.54mm] pin spacing}
The 430-JTAG Adapter board dimensions are (refer to the figure below):
- Height -- Item A: 0.901 [22.89mm]
- Width -- Item B: 1.102" [27.99mm]
- Center to Center Hole Spacing -- Item C: 0.100" [2.54mm]
- Adapter Board Thickness -- 0.062" [1.57mm]
- Usable Pin Length of SIPs -- 0.239" [6.07mm]

The Texas Instruments MSP430 tools associated with this Adapter are:
- MSP-FET430P120 FET
- MSP-FET430P140 FET
- MSP-FET430P410 FET
- MSP-FET430P440 FET
- MSP-PRGS430 Serial Programmer
All of the MSP430 Flash parts are supported by the 430-JTAG adapter.
