Part Selection
Except for 430-JTAG Adapters, this is a required step. You will need to chose or supply the part(s). If we supply the part(s), we take Digikey's single quantity price for the part(s) and mark it up 15% per part. We will also pass on to you any shipping and handling charges from them. If you supply the part(s), we need two spare parts of each type. If the spare parts are not used, they will be returned to you in your shipment.
Adapter Selection
This is a required step. We suggest purchasing a bundle package for the 15% savings to get the 430-JTAG Adapter Kit at the same time.
Part Mounting Fee
Except for 430-JTAG Adapters, this is a required step. Part Mounting is the actual mounting of the Surface Mount Device (SMD) part on the Adapter Board. This service includes testing the mounted part for solder bridges (shorts) between the pins on the part and open connections between the pins on the part and the Adapter Board.
Adapter Assembly Fee
Attaching the SIP connectors to to the Adapter board. In the case of the 430-JTAG, this fee also includes attaching the 14 pin Low Profile Box Header.
Decoupling Capacitors Fee
Attaching 10uF and 100nF 1206 size SMD decoupling capacitors to the Adapter Board. The cost of the capacitors is included in the fee.
Below is the fee matrix for the assembly services where 'N/A' indicates a "Not Applicable" option.
'Basic Subtotal' is the Adapter kit and labor costs to just mount the part on the board, it does not include the cost of the part. This service is useful for customers who don't want to mount the part, but want to complete the rest of the assembly themselves.
'Deluxe Subtotal' is the Adapter kit, decoupling capacitor and labor costs to completely assemble the kit with all the options, it does not include the cost of the part.
With both the Basic and Deluxe services, all the continuity tests are performed.
For non-430 parts, some of these steps will not be required

After receiving payment for the order, allow up to five business days turnaround upon OUR receipt of the parts (whether from Digikey or you) to shipping. If faster service is needed, we do offer an expedite service for an additional US$50 fee. Do not include any credit card information or other confidential information in your initial contact with us.
